This summer fans from around the world will flock to the hills of Tuscany for a once-in-a-lifetime musical event. A star-studded concert celebrating the iconic career of the world’s most famous tenor, Andrea Bocelli. Featuring a dazzling line-up of surprise guest artists, this monumental night of music and memories will be set against the stunning backdrop of the legendary singer’s hometown. Following the resounding success of previous sell-out years, the event organizers are announcing what promises to be the biggest and boldest endeavor –both creatively and logistically –that the renowned open-air arena has ever seen. Indeed, the Teatro del Silenzio will set the stage for the official celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the career of the most beloved Italian tenor in the world.

Andrea Bocelli has chosen his hometown – and the long-established Teatro del Silenzio event in particular (of which he is honorary president) – as the setting to share a grand celebration that will see a wealth of artists perform. All eyes of the international media are certain to be on Tuscany in the summer of 2024.

It is no exaggeration to say The Teatro del Silenzio event will be as important and impactful as the legendary Central Park show. Just as with the extraordinary New York concert in 2011 when America welcomed Andrea Bocelli with open arms, Lajatico will become the epicentre of outstanding music for one evening. We will celebrate the great tenor’s astonishing career amid the rolling Tuscan hills, with a line-up of fellow musicians and friends, many of whom represent the crème de la crème of the international pop and opera music scene.

As with “One Night in Central Park”, Andrea Bocelli vehemently rejects the term “challenge” in reference to his 30th anniversary concert: "That’s not my experience of it – Andrea Bocelli explains – To undertake a challenge, one must have an opponent, while I simply have the many wonderful people who have embarked upon this journey with me, be they the audience, the artists involved, the technicians or the organizers. People who I will share this adventure with and who I hope will cherish their memories of it, as I will. Music is meant to bring people together, so that they may share a feeling or an emotion. After 30 years spent on the world’s stages, this will be an honor and an extremely special occasion to be able to celebrate, together, right here, where I was born, where it all began”.
